Round of 32 through to the Final
The 2026 World Cup introduces a Round of 32 for the first time in the tournament's history — a direct consequence of the expanded 48-team field. The 24 group winners and runners-up are joined by the eight best third-placed sides to form 32 qualifiers. From there, the bracket runs through a Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, a third-place play-off and the Final on 19 July 2026. Scores update live as each knockout match concludes.
